The Haze. A place where you could be certain the weaklings of the pack, would be to forget their life in the junkie smoke that surrounded the building. She littered a cigarette while she looked at the door that would take her into her worst nightmare. She always tried to avoid this place, but the Word on the street hadn't given anything, and she needed information on that little girl burning up people in the middle of the day, with no discretion.
"People are to be pissed, as she is breaking that masquerade you all have tried to build for centuries, but no. Of cause you don't know anything"

her words were sarcastic as she inhaled another time, and shook her head. She had quited those, but she needed them now as they helped her focusing on other things that the freaking haze the damn wizard poured out from somewhere.
once again her long coat was covering her huge arsenal of guns, stakes holy water and what ever she could get her hands on. She weren't a priest herself, so the stuff were expensive but she luckily had a great seller.
"Hey.. Don't I know you?"
She smiled for herself. This was her town, and even though she hadn't been her for years she was still known and hated. Instead she slipped 50 dollars in his hand, and walked right past him with a single "no" on her way.
She moved in through the huge amount of young ones jumping to the noise they called music, without having any real life sense at all. she weren't here for them now. Maybe one day she would clean this mess, but for now she knew the haze didn't hurt them, so it was fine. He could keep it for a little while longer.

She fought her way through the crowd to a lone table in the far corner where the music weren't so loud. She would start with something to drink. She quickly ordered and looked around to find her potential victim. Not many could have done that but Tess had hunted since she were 16. She knew the signs. And she knew when someone were to powerful for her to handle. She wouldn't go up against the little girl. She would find the weaknesses and give them to this Buffy girl, so the slayers could take care of her together. no matter how tempting it was, were Tess no world saver, and she knew that the slayers would handle the thing better than herself. She would only be in the way.

Djin’s soft black hair cascaded down her shoulders. She gave of the vibe of just another magic drunk teen. She was magic drunk, just not off this warlock. When entering she had seen a powerful witch entering also. Most likely to do business with this warlock. Djin had…well to put it simply sucked all her power away and absorbed it herself. Blowing that couple up had drained her, she used more power than she had intended to. Well, it wouldn’t happen again. Now her eyes were black and so was her hair. Her eyes were black because she had just absorbed all that magic.

Black tendrils of lighting crackled around her. She got up from the black couch she was sitting on. The teenagers who had been drawn to her power made small sighs of protest as she left them laying on the couch, to entranced to move. Djin didn’t have to make people get out of her way. They just did. Djin walked trough the crowds, not bumping into anyone. Then she came across the door to the room in which the warlock in charge of everything stayed. Djin opened it.

“You’re not supposed to be in here.” A fairly young voice said.

The man couldn’t be older than twenty five. It would be a shame for him to die so early. Who was Djin kidding, she didn’t care if he was young or old. She just loved killing. Once she closed the door silently behind her she could feel him becoming afraid. He could feel her power. Dark and evil. Like molten lava. There was no stopping it. Unlike molten lava, Djin didn’t stop. She kept going to she had killed everyone she wished to.

The man jumped up from his seat. He looked absolutely terrified. His eyes shifted back and forth, as if he was looking for a weapon. Then he remembered his magic. He threw a ball of blue light at her. Djin scoffed and knocked it away with the back of her hand. Haw week did her think she was. Djin could hear him muttering an incantation under his breath. Djin laughed. No incantation her could muster could ever hope to harm her.

Djin was startled by the bolt of lightning that came down through the roof at her. That actually was a high level incantation. Djin became serious. It appeared as though it had used up most of his energy. Djin laughed. Even if the lighting had hit her, her shield would have blocked it. This man was no match for her.

Tess had looked over the filthy scum that infested this dump, when she suddenly saw people jumping away from... Something. People were to close to see who it were, but they clearly got out of its way, which were not very common. She silently found a stake and hided it in her sleeve, before following the thing, as it went in to the office, where no one walked in. None of the times Tess had been here, has anyone walked in to that office where the old man were.
Something wasn't right here, and Tess were going to find out what. Easy and as silent as she could she bumped through the people, giving shoulders to anyone, as the only way to make way for herself. Not even she could walk without bumping into people, and get all sorts of bruises. Something supernatural were at stake, and as a flash came from inside she were almost sure of it. She knew the owner were a wizard of some sort, a magician, so it would of cause only be natural, but Tess didn't dare to take the chances.
just before she kicked in the door she heard a laugh from a little girl. Not some sort of laughs that makes one smile, no this laugh were chilling, remembered Tess about loved one she never had, and to early death. Tess weren't afraid of dying. Or at least that what she told herself, when she done such reckless things as now. Why hadn't she got that Buffy bitch's number? It were the slayers job to kill evil, Tess just did it. the slayers would be able to take care. What was she thinking? It was still a little girl.
The door kicked in, and knowing the stake wouldn't kill her right away, she hurried anyway just to have something that would hurt the damn girl, while she picked up her gun. The back were the only thing visible so of cause that should be in the back, or maybe the neck if the girl turned around. Not much to do either than threatening the damned thing. She could feel the power too, and that girl were way out of her league. A smile crossed her face. though it sure would seem she would get some information.

//If it succeed//
As she stands slowly drawing a gun with her left hand, as a stake pushes towards the girls back, she calmly says with a little smile on her lips.
"you know little girls should braid hair on dolls or something. Not finding fun in killing people or toying with them. Will you let this son of a bitch go or shall I really kill you right here and now. And if not, it will hurt like hell, and you still are... A girl."
Her face were grim, as she kept telling herself how evil this girl were, but Tess always had a hard time killing young ones and children no matter how evil the were. A major weakness, but she couldn't help it. Every time they were younger than her, she had a hard time doing it. And especially this one, as the girl could have been her daughter. But a job was a job, and she just had to do such a thing.

//If it doesn't succeed you tell it. Tess is pretty exposed walking so fast and stuff, so she will not be able to defend herself.//

Djin stood still, with the gun to her back. She made no sudden movements. This could be a potentially dangerous situation. Djin should have been more carful when she heard someone come in. Wait…if this woman had a relation to Buffy. Djin didn’t move, she doubted Tess could see the small trickle of magic energy seeping from her hands. In a few moments the ground under Tess’ feet had exploded. Sending her flying at the wall. Djin giggled. Then became serious.

“I can’t see why someone would interrupt me when I am trying to kill people. To your previous comment, I used to braid dolls hair. I also made them little houses out of cardboard boxes. I would give the names, and use my cat as there horse. But I suppose good things never last do they? It truly is a pity my sister and cousin had to go get themselves killed. Had they not, none of us would be in this predicament.”

Djin had lost all interest in the man her eyes were only on Tess. Djin found out who she was right after meeting her. This woman, Djin could read her feelings, if Djin could play off them then this would be all to easy. Djin couldn’t look inside Tess’ mind, but she could feel a sort of childish essence. That was probably when a lifetime trama took place, much like Djin herself.

“You see, my mum always tried to love us all equally, my cousin, my sister and me, but she couldn’t help but love them more. See they were potentials, I was not. I don’t know if that’s why she loved them more but none the less she did. When she died all I had was them to take care of me, and being potentials, they had to go fight evil.”

Djin shrugged and advanced towards Tess.

((OOC: What should happen? Djin can beat Tess to a bloody pulp or Tess could flee.))

Tess had the upper hand, she sure did, so this were the girls weakness. Get to close and she were nothing but that little sweet girl, that Tess wanted so much.
*Now Tess, this isn't a girl, she is a monster and this is no time to think.*
She didn't even realized the girl had used magic before she heard the explosion, and suddenly began to fly head on against the wall. Just in time she leaned a bit forward so it were her back that got hurt while the gun and the stake went fly to a corner of the room. The wizard where like frozen and she damned him from here and to hell once she was done with this girl.

And then it came. What Tess just not wanted. Normally this was the time where the bad guy would choke up that bad story they had, and Tess would burn them off with a reminder that she did this, because people could make a choice. If It were a really good story and she enjoyed it, they would get a quick death though she had no idea if it were painless. Normally she felt joy to hear that someone had made their life a hell, or something like that but this time. This time all Tess felt was anger. Anger toward this girls mother. Anger that one didn't love this girl, who had been a beautiful child,a little girl completely like a dream. And all of that because of Slayers?!
She tried to hold her normal cool self, when she answered still mattered and desperately thinking of a plan. She knew this girl were dangerous, but now she knew why.
"You gotta be kidding me right? Who want a slayer?" - And who wouldn't love you back there?
She couldn't help it, the instinct of a mother told her to take that girl in her arms, and be that mother the girl never had because of two Slayers?! Tess couldn't believe it. She really couldn't. Slowly she began to stand up one leg at a time.
"I mean, no offense kid but Slayers are good for nothing at all. they are put up there on the pedestal, where they sooner or later fall down from, because they don't think! I'm sorry kid, but I'm pretty sure your mother must have been quite a wacko, not loving you."

Dammit! The last part should never had gotten out. She could feel a slight blush raise to her cheeks. She had never blushed before. Not since before she were nine, and now she could? She had lost a guy because she never blushed and wasn't like other girls.
She got up and looked down at the girl. She would once had been a beautiful one but now she was way too powerful.
"We all have our scars girl. But we also have a choice. Now get out of here, and i will go home thinking this never happened."
She just wanted to get out, this girl took every inch of sanity from her, made her vulnerable and weak. This girl was Tess weak spot, and Tess didn't like it. She would properly never be able to throw a punch at that girl, and now she just wanted to drink the damn night away.

Djin couldn’t help but smile at Tess’ reaction, it had all been true. It was always true. Djin never lied about her past. Most of the time she didn’t spill out her past like a winy baby. This time was different. Djin felt extraordinarily evil for doing such a cruel thing to this woman. Djin walked over to her, her own short height made Tess appear to tower over her.

“Finally someone who understands. Who needs slayers anyway! That’s exactly why I am going to annihilate them from the earth. It will be so much simpler. Without the slayers the world would quickly go to the demons. So well…”

Djin didn’t finish the last part but shrugged an evil little shrug. She turned her head to the side, as though she was a cat of some kind. She opened her mouth to say something else when a crow flew in the open window and landed on her shoulder. Djin made a cooing sound of affection. Djin looked back up at Tess and the bird flew away. Djin got on tiptoes and put her hand on Tess’ shoulder so she could reach. Djin brought her mouth close to Tess’ ear and said quietly.

“Go, go tell your slayer friends that you know all about the evil girl. Tell them her name is Djin, tell them all my evil plans. Betray me.”

Djin then kissed Tess on the cheek with a laugh and changed into a crow. She then flew out the open window after the other crow. Djin had given Tess a tough choice, she could do what was right and tell Buffy, or do what her instincts told her. If she did tell Buffy, she would be forced to live with the guilt of betraying the young girl. Djin herself had no idea who she would choose.

((Djin out))

Tess stood there as the girl flied out of the window. The weeping man didn't leave his corner until after Djin had moved, and even there he were careful. Like in chock Tess raised a hand and gently touched her cheek where the kiss had fallen. Her mind tried to imagine Djin without the laugh that made chills run down ones spine, and a world without slayers. What was she thinking? A world without slayers would be judgment day, Ragnarok, and whatever other religions called it.
It would be hell on earth and Tess could never allow that to happen. But this girl had been almost betrayed by slayers so it was kind of understandable. Tess didn't know what to do, and when she finally came to her senses, she discovered the young man making the haze crying and thanking her, hoping she wouldn't be a bad guy.
A certain rage boiled up in her. This guy had properly known about demons, vampires and other bad stuff since before he could walk, and he did nothing to society even though he defently had a better chance than Tess. She felt like hurting him, and knew she could kill him, so half afraid of herself she turned around and hurried out the door. She didn't care about the stake and the gun. He could have it. She justed wanted to get out, and over to her favorite bar to drink the night away before she would stalk Buffy or another slayer, right to that headquarter of theirs, so she could... So she could what? This girl certainly didn't need another enemy, and she didn't need another one betraying her. Buffy thought she were so smart herself, she could make her own damn research.
"We all have a choice."
That was about the only thing Tess remembered about her first friend who sadly died on a hunt. He had been trapped in the middle of it, and Tess herself had pulled the trigger, when the vampire had his fangs in him. She would never forget it, and she always remembered his famous words. She could choose either to hurt Djin and save the world, or she could doom the world and stay with the kid. Except she would have to hunt every day and it would be more dangerous because the slayers were gone. Tess knew she could properly not stop hunting or could she?

As the night grew older a single woman walked down the streets making many supernatural minions to hide in the darkness and wait with their meal. her walk was heavy as if she carried a lot of weight on her shoulders, and her stance told anyone knowing her, even as an enemy that no one should go in her way or they would be dead faster than they could run away again. Normally Tess made deals with the scum, and keeping her deals too, but this night would be different. She went by her favorite bar where no one looked twice to her loaded weapons and no one would look if she stayed there all night, also a bar most minions kept out from as they knew it were her place. Her sanctum, though she still were on guard in there, and would defend that more fiercely that she fought them normally.

**The End**
